More Woo Than Boo!

The dark shadow in the corner. The misty figure in the cemetery. The puff of warm breath on the back of your neck when you're alone in the room.

Those things might cause some to run away screaming, but there are those of us who are fascinated by the supernatural. It's the allure of the unknown. How your heart beats faster, how your senses seem more sensitive, how every little thing has the possibility of being something extraordinary. It makes you feel more alive.

I'm a big fan of ghost hunting shows. A lot of the time, things are explained by simple reasoning, but then there are those moments when you can't explain something. The strange voice on a recorder or the shimmering image on the video footage. It's like a treasure hunt to find solid proof of the supernatural.

Fear still tickles at the back of my mind, but my curiosity has me more in love with experiencing something paranormal than it does telling me to run away. And I'm certain many other people feel the same way. We want to know and those bumps in the night won't scare us away. They will only woo us further.

Are you fascinated by the supernatural or would you rather have nothing to do with it?

Releasing this Friday:

Blurb: The Paramours - ghost hunting with a kiss.

Claire McKinney has a theory that poltergeists aren't evil spirits or negative energy. When she locates a powerful vortex at the center of a haunting, she discovers a gorgeous man trapped inside. Zendal cannot escape on his own, but if Claire can create enough sexual energy with him, he will be able to break free. Intense as their passion is, it does not release him from the vortex. Claire finds herself caught not only by the ominous portal, but by Zendal's carnal zeal as well. Can she extricate them from the trap or will they forever be its prisoners?

  1. I am endlessly fascinated by the unknown, and think it is a form of arrogance to rule anything 'out of the question'.
Amazon (bless its difficult heart) refuses to let me buy e-books except from amazon.com.au - which denies your existence. Sigh.

    1. That it truly is. I mean the unknown and Amazon! I do wonder why I'm not on there in Australia. Must check that out now!

  2. Congrats on the new releases! I have experienced woo. It both fascinates me and makes me shudder at the same time. A sort of fatal attraction, I guess!

    1. Thank you, River. Hopefully not fatal! Though I bet you'd get a special ride on Death's Harley for writing his stories. :)

  3. I'm definitely fascinated by the paranormal, but at the same time, I try to be skeptical and not just believe "proof" right away. Congrats on your Paramours series!

    1. Thanks, Cherie! Yes, I'm skeptical until the evidence is unarguable.

  4. I'm intrigued. I was a skeptic until having an experience of my own. I've gone on a few ghost hunts since, because I want to know more. I watch the shows too, but I'm convinced they make most of it up for TV.

    1. Oh yes, they definitely making most of it up on TV. Otherwise it would be very boring! People sitting around waiting for something to happen and it rarely does.

  6. I love watching ghost hunting shows, but I can only do it during the day. Otherwise, I scare myself too much when it's dark.

    1. Do you think you could ever go ghost hunting? I'd love to do it... but with other people there!

    2. I don't think so. After I watch a show, I get jumpy walking down the hallway if its dark!

  7. I am enticed by the other worldly. I have experienced hearing footsteps, doors slamming etc... One very weird thing with pills in a container. I recall feeling very sad one Christmas and thinking about my dad and suddenly feeling a hand patting my right shoulder like my dad used to. I am not a nut and knew I felt it-very strange. I also took a ghost walk at Fort Niagara and while the guide was talking, I felt someone blow air behind my ear but I was up against a wall.

    1. Wow, that's so neat! I've been to Fort Niagara on a school trip. We didn't get the ghost tour! I did one at Gettysburg, but didn't see anything.

  9. I'm fascinated with elements of the supernatural but I will not spend the night in a haunted asylum or anything like that! :-)

    1. I'd like to think I'm brave enough to do so (with other people there!), but I'd have to be in the situation to see if I could. I'd definitely take daytime ghost hunting expeditions, though!
